Ambassador victor Ramon karowazu, the Venezuelan ambassador in Cairo welcomed Egyptian poet Abdul Rahman Yusuf on Monday (August 14th, 2006) at the embassy.
Yusuf presented his poem "descendants of Guevara and moatasem" to the ambassador asking him to deliver it to Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez as an appreciation of his position during the Israeli war on Lebanon in 2006,during which Chavez drew off his ambassador in Israel in protest. Yusuf will be presenting the poem for the first time along with other poems in a ceremony at the press syndicate in Cairo which is hosted by "20's" website.
